Most people will tell you that your college years
are the best years of your life and so far that’s been
proven true! While being at MU I've made some of the
best friends I'll ever have in my life and experienced
some of the greatest opportunities. For example, thanks
to our Study Abroad program, this summer I was able to study in Florence, Italy and have the absolute time of my life! I studied the culture and style of another country while actually being able to firsthand experience it. I actually learned that "Misericordia" is what they call their ambulances; Misericordia's root comes from Mercy so it makes sense that they would name their volunteer ambulance organization Misericordia. With the school being founded by the Sisters of Mercy, it all adds up!
Last semester I was also lucky enough to be part of a group of girls who got together to form the MU Dance Team. We perform during half time at the basketball games and have a blast doing it!
I have been involved with Campus Ministry since my freshman year and every semester it becomes more and more rewarding. I have made some great connections and had the opportunity to help out so many people while growing in my own faith and beliefs
I also hold an on campus job in the Insalaco Center called a Career Peer Assistant; helping out the counselors there by working with other students on their resumes or other job related material. I also do a lot of work with the Guaranteed Placement Program which has allowed me to learn tips on interviewing, workplace etiquette, and other skills needed once you're pushed out into the real world!
Misericordia University has provided me with so many lasting memories, from the late night study sessions to the midnight walks down to the arches with my crazy friends. There's a great deal of learning done in the classrooms but outside the classrooms there's a whole new lesson you’re learning all on your own. My time at Misericordia has been amazing so far!
