My Mighty Mouse costume turned out amazing for Halloween this weekend :-) It was really simple to put together, too - yellow leggings, red shorts, a yellow long-sleeved shirt from the salvation army, and a red cape I found at Rite Aid. Voila! Might Mouse! Oh, and I made mouse ears with black felt and a head band. My friends really liked the costume too, so I'd label it a success. On Thursday I entered my decorated pumpkin at Outrageous for the pumpkin contest, and it was received well. I think they forgot to give out the prizes, but that's ok. I left the pumpkin there, too, since it was made particularly for Outrageous' theme of 'Peace, Love, Coffee'. It's a very peace-loving store, you see, with amazing pumpkin lattes. Mmmmmm. Last night on Halloween night itself I helped give out candy at a friend's house near Misericordia - we usually give out candy here at school on a specific night but we weren't allowed to this year because of the flu scare. I got home fairly early last night, ended up just kind of being a bum on Halloween night! I zoned out on facebook for a while, had a glass of wine with friends to celebrate the holiday, and went to bed early! Plus, it was daylight savings, so I got even more sleep than usual. I do love sleep. It was kind of nice, though, because I was very well-rested for church this morning, instead of my usual half-asleep demeanor.

Let's look at the week ahead... this week something called the Voices Project is being showed in the new Insalaco Hall, I think it is a program based on diversity. It looks really good, and I think I'm going to try to go to it. There's also a nationally renowned peace speaker this week, a lady who has been imprisoned for civil disobedience and things like that. I think I'd like to hear what she has to say, too! oooh AND, the video that Dan Kimbrough made last year on the Habitat for Humanity Spring Break trip is being shown this week at the Insalaco Hall on campus! I'm very excited for that. I already got a sneak peak last year, but this will be his premier of the video. We went to New Orleans to do Hurricane Katrina building - yes, neighborhoods are still affected by a hurricane from more than 5 years ago! Thats mainly what the video is about - 'Planting Seeds of Change' through Habitat for Humanity in an area where change isn't coming along very fast. Which reminds me of more good news! I got accepted to go on the Spring Break trip this spring! I've gone for the last 2 years, and I'm very excited. We're going to Miami this year, and I always go on the one based on Habitat for Humanity. Miseri does some trips with inner-city service, too. So excited!!!

Oh shoot, I need to do laundry!

Ciao,

Megan
