Well, since last Wednesday I've been pretty busy. Wednesday night I finished my watercolor still life painting for class, and I think it came out alright. I hope I get a good grade on it, at least :-P Then on Thursday I led Spirituality on Tap with Campus Ministry, and we talked about cosmetic surgery from a faith-based point of view. It was interesting as we discussed different reasons for plastic surgery and when we think it's acceptable and non-acceptable. It's a tough issue once you really dive into it! I caught a little bit of the volleyball game Thursday night, too, since one of my roommates is the captain of the team this year. They were doing pretty well, although the score was really close. I had to leave before it ended, unfortunately, but it was fun to go and watch.

Since Friday I've been trying to figure out my class schedule for next semester, and I think I've finally got it down. I'm planning on participating in a student research group with Dr. Nordstrom next year - she's my psychology advisor. Basically it will be myself and a small group of other students helping Dr. Nordstrom as her assistants to complete a psychology project that she devised. It's good experience, looks good on resumes, and is something different from the usual classwork! I'm hoping that I get into all the classes and sections that I want, although since I'm in the Honors program we get early scheduling and it shouldn't be a huge problem to get into the classes I want.

Over the weekend I finally got the last few pieces for my Halloween costume! I still need to put together my ears (lol) but I have all of the clothing except for a red cape. Get this: I'm going to be.... MIGHTY MOUSE! Lol its ironic on purpose because I am only 4'10" :-D I'm going to a Superhero Halloween party on Friday night to show it off :-P Some of my friends have very neat costumes, though, so I'll have to be content taking a backseat in any costume contests we might have. I'm hoping to hear about an on-campus Halloween party, too, and last year we even went trick-or-treating across the street in a housing development :-)

Let's see... what else has happened recently... I had friends from home come up to visit for the weekend, and I showed them my favorite places around campus. It was fun, although it was a rainy day so we mostly sat around and watched tv in between going out to eat :-P Down the road from Miseri is a really neat little cafe called the Old House Cafe, which I took them to. It's a pretty popular spot for students, and has very good, home-cooked food. Mmmmm.

Right then, that's all I've got to say so I'd better get going and work on that Physics homework!

Ciao

Megan :-)
