Hey ya'll = )

Sorry I have been a little MIA recently... just so much has been going on its been crazy!!! Seriously, every day has been packed with things to do. And oh my lanta it is Turkey month already! Time seriously has been flying (I always feel like my grandparents when I say that... haha) and first semester is almost up! I have a night class every Thursday and we just talked in last class how we only have about 4 more classes. C-R-A-Z-Y!!!! Anywho... this month I always feel is project month. Generally in most of my classes I have one major project due for the semester and now all thats on your mind for your classes is projects projects projects! Its funny because in the beginning of the semester you think to yourself oh I just have to do a project by the end of the semester- I have plenty of time. Whelp, now is that time haha! So let the research beginnnnn....

This past week I had my last first scrimmage ever (which depresses me ugh!) We played well though! It surprised me because normally our first scrimmage is a little rocky... girls running all over the place looking kind of like chickens with their heads cut off and me desperately saying no run this play!!! haha Oh the joy of being the point guard- sometimes I feel like I'm the general of an army out there calling the plays, calming my players down, directing them, but I love my position and I wouldn't have it any other way! My little sister thinks she is super tough now because she got a black eye from the scrimmage! haha this WHOLE WEEK- she has been saying you see my eye- well you don't want to see what happened to the other girl! haha -when in actuality the other girl was completely fine my sister just caught her elbow at the wronggg time! Our scrimmage was home which  I was happy about - its always nice to be on your own turf! My parents came up - they pretty much come up to ever game so I love basketball season just because then I get to see my parents a lot = ) This time though.. they had a surprise for me. Ok drum roll please.......    they brought me...... an early christmas present...... which was... A PUPPY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes I AM VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY EXCITED!!!  Although I can't be with the pup now- when I get to go home I get to be with him and when I move out I get to bring the lil guy with me! I am so pumped! I wanted a puppy for so long! We had a family dog for 13 years and he passed away about 5 years ago. For about 3 years I have been beggggging to have a new puppy but I never got one underneath that Christmas tree! Whenever my parents would call me (especially around Christmas time) they would ask me how I am doing and I would respond "I'm doing alright but would be better if I had a puppy! " I basically did that with every question they asked haha! Probably drove them crazyyy- but what are kids for right?! I am just so excited I got a puppy finally! I am a little bummed I can't be with the lil guy now but soon enough I will be home!! And I get the honor of naming him since he is mine!!! It was funny because this whole week at work study we were contemplating names for my lil puppy. Of course I was showing pictures of him, like a proud parent! Jeez though, I give parents props because naming a puppy is hard I can't even imagine naming a baby. I mean they are stuck with that name for awhileeee! So what did I do? I googled dog names. Yep, pretty much Google can give you anything and dogs names they definately had!

I finally did come up with a puppy name (although not from good old google)... and his name is Shredder!!! Now I know some of you are thinking ohh Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, but actually I named him that because that used to be my nickname when I was growing up. Not because I looked like Shredder! Jeez thanks guys! I was actually nicknamed that because I would "shred" through presses in basketball. I loved breaking presses - and since my new lil pup likes to shred paper towels and even my socks- the name just sounded fitting. Also when you tell people your dog's name is Shredder you are picturing a biggg tough dog, and my lil guy is a cocker spaniel mixed with beshaun so he is a little white loving furr ball! So Shredder is doing well back at home and I love my parents telling me stories of him every day. His best story by far happened yesterday. It was raining back at home and one of our cats (my older sister's cat) came inside and my mom was trying to dry her off. While she was drying her off in the bathroom lil Shredder came into the bathroom and decided he had to go to the bathroom. So where did he go?! In the cat's litter box!!! Yes my lil guy is half cat I determined! haha I love it! Now that I have a puppy and my older sister got a kitten about 2 years ago, I can only imagine what my little sister wants. Although I named my little sister the godmother to Shredder. I'm such a nice sistahh!

Getting little Shredder makes me think about Christmas even more!!! I love Christmas and I am perfectly fine with getting a puppy instead of a car haha (I totaled my car when I got in an accident earlier in the semester but it wasn't my fault! I got rear-ended ...boo to that!) I read Greg's blog about hearing Christmas music all the time! haha but I love that stuff- I have been playing it even before Halloween, which my mom said I was crazy for. But for some reason I just think everyone likes Christmas music, it always makes everyone happier- at least it does with me! We can change it to Thanksgiving lyrics though- I experiment with that in the shower.. but normally my roomies hit the wall which is normally my que to shush it. Gosh some people just like to keep their creativity hidden inside! haha

Well, I hope everyone has a great weekend! I know I am going to! I have practice tomorrow and sunday and our guy's soccer team is playing for the MAC Championship tom at our place! I am pumped for them and I hope they win!!! We shall see soon enough! haha! Later gatorsss!

Stay Safe = )
