Freshman are typically not allowed cars on campus. If you have a 
certain circumstance where a car would be necessary you can write to 
the Dean of Students requesting to have one on campus. 

For bus transportation, Martz Trailways in Wilkes-Barre (city is about 15-20min 
away) offers daily bus departures to Philly, New York City, Blakeslee, 
King of Prussia, and Stroudsburg.  Here's a link to their website:
