Jobs

Hey!!!

I am planning on going to Misericordia this fall to study Speech Language pathology and I am realy excited!

But I have a few questions hopefully someone could help me with!

I need to get a job while I am out there and I was wondering if there are places to work off campus that are within walking distance or would you need a car?  And how hard to you think it would be to manage working and school work??

Thanks so much  for the help!

Re: Jobs

Hi Veronica,

There are a few places that are surrounding campus, but it all depends how far you are willing (or able) to walk to work.  If you would need a job that would require a car you could send a petition to the Dean of Students requesting the use of a car for work purposes. This is not a guarantee of  a car however, the dean makes the determination based on need and number of spots avaliable.

In terms of balancing school and work, that all depends on the individual. Some people find it very easy to work a significant hours and be successful in the classroom, while others may find it more difficult. I would look at your own personal preferences in schedule and go from there.

Hope this helps
